Below given is the statement of account for the first phase of funds collected for Bihar relief . After these funds were collected, a team of Nishkam comprising Sukhvinder Singh Kang, Jitender Singh , and Rajat Yadav were sent to Bihar (Saharsa and Supaul districts) for personally distributing the relief material


After the team came back , and acquainted us of the grim situation in Bihar , a second phase of fund collection was done from the leftover classes within CITM and the remaining colleges of MREI university .A corpus of funds amounting to Rs 25,580 collected in this phase lies unused .A team of people has already been selected which will be dispatched to Bihar after the first sessional exams in college .

Statement of Account for first phase

Total funds collected from individual donations : Rs 29, 331 – Rs 500=Rs 28,831only (One Rs 500 note turned out fake!)
Funds used from Extravaganza : Rs 3700
Total funds generated for first phase :32,531

Expenses:

Biscuits : 25 cartons of 96 packets each were brought .The biscuits were distributed to curb hunger at places where relief had still not reached at the peak of Bihar floods .In total 2400 packets were distributed .
Rs 436.36 * 25 =Rs 10,909

Medicines : A large number of medicines were brought and given to the doctors at the time of Bihar floods . A long list of these medicines can be seen at Suri Sir’s office.
Medicines amounting to Rs 11,040 were distributed.

Chiwara : This was again bought and distributed to tackle hunger arising from large scale flooding . In total 350 kgs of Chiwara was bought and distributed .In total , a sum of Rs 4725 went into this .

Travelling and other expenses for three volunteers : The three volunteers were reimbursed for their ticket to and fro Patna to Delhi .However the volunteers spent their own money for tickets to and fro Saharsa to Patna .The volunteers spent their own money for food , accommodation etc .In total , a total of Rs 5820 were reimbursed to the volunteers
